          How is the week going so far?
          
          I just finished the first chapter of my second ONC entry; it’s a lighthearted dramedy. This is the first year I’ll be entering 2 stories for the ONC, mainly because I tend to choose complicated plots that turn into novels and don’t fit the format. This second story should help me stay within the word count if the first one doesn’t.
          
          @SmokeAndOranges wrote a great article about the correlation between prompt choices and story length, which totally aligns with my situation. If you’re interested, it’s definitely worth a read!

I'm excited to announce I'm entering this year's ONC! The last time I participated was in 2024, when The Candidate made the longlist.
          
          This year, I'm entering not one, but two stories. The first is already live—a story about loss and resilience that explores how life experiences shape us and how even the most distant dreams become attainable when we refuse to give up.
          
          The story spans 21 years and follows how the world evolves, capturing the devastating impact of war in the Democratic Republic of Congo. If you're drawn to stories about human perseverance against impossible odds, I think you'll connect with this one.
