While a child of the south, steeped in the mysterious aura that accompanies Spanish moss, mosquitoes and barbecue, I have felt the urge to write ever since I was a little girl. Cats, dogs and children, not to mention a husband, get in the way, but I have eked out the time to write a unique combination of romance and action. I write historical romantic fiction and do my best to imagine and then bring to life what it must have been like to have lived then.
I enjoy reading history and historical romances. While I'm an American I'm also an Anglophile and not unfamiliar with the south of England. They're more alike than you know - There's even a Krispy Kreme donut shop in the Oracle in Reading (and they're just as good as here in Kennesaw)!
While the romance genre is often described as "bodice rippers", I tend to write more like "bodice unbuttoners" where the romance is there but not explicit. After all a good quality bodice was expensive and only a cad or puppy would damage it.
