From his school years, his interest in literature motivated him to write his first book, the novel "Qaranlıqdan işığa" ("From Darkness to Light"), in 2011. Since the novel dealt with rural life during the Soviet era, he gathered information from many people to collect accurate details about that period. By compiling these insights, he completed the book in 2017. The novel was published at the end of the same year.

Following his first book, he began preparations for his second novel, "Kimsəsiz" ("The Forsaken"). Since a large part of the book is set in Istanbul, he traveled there in 2018, which greatly contributed to his writing. After exploring the city and gathering the necessary information, he finished the novel by the end of that year. The book was published in early 2020.

After his second novel, Amid Selimoğlu also started writing short stories. His story "Sən axı kimsən?!" ("Who Are You?!") was well received by readers. His second story is titled "Malavarın hekayəsi" ("The Tale of Malavar").

In addition to these stories, he is also the author of "Sen benim 7. Günümsün" ( You are my 7th Day ), "44 gün" (44 days), "Sən axı kimsən?! Bumeranq" ("Who Are You?! Boomerang"), "Qadın və O" ("The Woman and He"), and "Yazıçı" ("The Writer"). He has also written the novels "Bəyaz dəhliz" ("The White Corridor") and "Vabin".
