I'm a software engineer hailing from a small town about 50 micro light-seconds (15km) north to Tel-Aviv. I also spent 8 years of my life living and working in London, so I consider myself bi-cultural... :)
I grew up (a long time ago...) on the scifi classics - Asimov, Heinlein, Clarke, Herbert - and many others of the golden era. I dabbled with writing a bit in my teenage years (Ahm, that's back in the 90s...), but never perused that course. Instead continuing down the path of a career in Software Engineering which I love, and which I've also been doing from an early age.
Recently however, I decided that I'm entitled for a midlife crisis in the form of dusting up my old (mostly unused so far...) writing skills. Exchanging lines of code for lines of fiction. To this end I published a collection of short scifi stories titled "Genesis". Originally published in Hebrew , I am now in the process of translating it into English, and hope to publish it soon.
As for my writing, I am more interested in the relationship between advanced technology and both the individual and human society as a whole - especially as they play out in historical contexts. I'm very interested in history and the intricate lines that connect individuals, cultures and the tides of history. And like many of us I am fascinated by and at times perhaps also worried about, the effects that advanced technologies will have on these processes.
Very much a centrist in my views, I don't believe that there is necessarily only one right answer to any question, let alone any of the above. I don't think that change is inherently good or bad. Instead, I see us as trying to navigate this delicate ship that we call "Humanity" through this treacherous sea of the infinite possibilities of history.
I hope that you'll find this reflected in my writing.
