I am Luis Marquez. Originally from Colombia, but I have lived for many years in beautiful Australia. When I was little I was always interested in animals and books. My grandfather was a big fan of them - which is what inspired my love for animal welfare and reading.

My life has always revolved around my passion for my job, writing and reading. Throughout my career in Animal Welfare I have established numerous personal writing projects but never brave enough to share. We become so lost in our busy lives and it is easy to forget the value of so many things, in terms of nature, in terms of children and animals, how we see each other as human beings. 

I have an amazing 10 year old daughter that I love with all my heart. My favourites things to do are watching horror movies, reading non-fiction books, writing short stories involving odd characters, listening music and playing soccer when I can. I am not a writer but I have passion for communicating feelings and developing characters. I am also a big fan of imagination and magic.  

Big follower of Jacques Cousteau, John Tolkien and Walter Elias Disney. These three writers were leaders of fantasy and innovation. Using their imaginations, they were able to create
stories so powerful that followers would become lost within their alternate worlds, without any doubt of their immersion in a parallel dimension. They influenced and inspired so many.
