@lakshmiyama Balagtasan... It's a dying art form, actually, replaced by western forms of entertainment. But cultural groups are doing their best to keep the art breathing. :)
          
          I am seventeen years old. A second year college student. I'm taking up Mass Communication major in Broadcasting. I love writing! Poetry, prose.. anything that could help me express the intricate threads of ideas inside my head. I also have a heart for theater arts. I was a stage actress before but I gave it up due to academic and health reasons. I am also a Christian. But I am open-minded when it comes to religious topics. I am not into religion. :)

@AnneofEnchantment Yes, I'm fifteen years old.Studies....this is the year I'm supposed to be focusing the most on studying....and I'm doing just the opposite of that...
          Your culture sounds very interesting....specially the debating in poetry form.I'm very interested in poetry....nothing else can express what a person feels more precisely...You?What about your interests?Do you have any special hobbies?

@lakshmiyama The same happens in the Philippines! And I guess one of our commonalities is the love for festivals. It just makes everyone SO EXCITED. And I am really proud of our arts here: Tula (poems), Balagtasan (I am a "mambabalagtas" actually. It's a debate in poetry poem), Filipino folk songs known as kundiman, and so much more. Those are the things that should be kept alive for centuries to come. Haha. The tourist attractions are also very nice. Nature has a way of capturing hearts, you know. :) You're fifteen, right? How's your study? :) Would love to know more about you. 

@AnneofEnchantment My country.....is a nice place, I guess. But as in every other place, it has bad as well as good points.A lot of people here are poor...and struggling, and no one seems to care.
          What I like about our country is its cultural diversity...you find people of so many religions, cultures, languages, races all living together without any major scuffles.
          As for culture being lost...it happens in every place, I guess, including here...it seems like the west is slowly taking over.We try to keep contact with our original culture,but then...it's just trying.
          What about your country?Tell me more...

@lakshmiyama Sadly, we're far from the ocean. But it is also very nice here. The people are jolly and lovable. But the thing that I missed so much is the culture. We've been greatly influenced by foreign countries,that's why only a few people find joy in our own identity. Anyways, I would really love to visit India sometime in the near future. :DD Tell me more about your country? :)
