I have started on my first original fiction story in over five years. I am both excited and absolutely terrified as it has been many years that I have taken on such a massive project such as this.
          	
          	The book is going to be historical fiction, set during the German occupation of France in the 1940s. I don't want to discuss more than that, but as I have read and studied this area in my country's history for many years, I can't wait to put what I have learnt down on paper and bring it to life.
          	
          	Right now, I only have an idea of my characters and the basic bare bone structure of my story idea. It may definitely take some time, and I may abandon the project due to taking on more than I can handle, but it is definitely worth the stress right now.

@CMBaggs No, I can't say that I have watched that series. I may check it out, though. :)

You ever see the animated series The Long Long Holiday?
          	  
          	  Anyway, take your time, flesh out your outline and above all else... have fun with it. I know the subject is rather serious, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the process. :)

After thinking things through for a few days, I have decided that I want to publish some of my original work to this platform. However, I find Wattpad to be a very strange place and I don't feel comfortable with publishing here, yet.
