Hello and welcome to my profile!

These days I am mostly write fanfiction, but I do have an original story or two that are being written, including ones that are fanfiction-esque in nature. I do look forward to sharing them on here.

The genres that I love to read are historical fiction, historical based fantasy, historical romance (if it is plot and character driven and has more than smut), and mythology. I have a fondness for historical murder mysteries, but haven't tried my hand at one of these as I prefer to read them only. I love retellings, especially mythology and fairy tales- but I adore retellings of other author's work such as Sherlock Holmes and Arthurian retellings.

With my own writing, I love to write mostly historical fiction. I love researching and writing about the events of the mediaeval ages, the 17th century, The Great War (1914-1918), and the Second World War (especially the Shoah). I do not like to romanticize tragedy, whether it be war or about the Holocaust, and instead prefer to keep these events as realistic as I can while still writing fiction. From time to time, I do write other events in history such as the French Revolution, the Revolutionary Wars (under Napoléon Bonaparte), ancient Greek and Roman history, and Brittonic history (particularly Arthurian history).

Most of the historical fiction I write is set in France, but I have expanded to writing about other countries as well.
