Hello, I have a question. Is it true that users can see others public announcements on the social feed page without the user selecting the “announce this to my followers” option, or would that be a glitch?

@riotzack -- From what I've seen, it may be a glitch. However, several small changes are in progress. I could be wrong. The best way to check is to put in a ticket. If it's a glitch, they can work on fixing it.

Public Service Announcement: 
          
          For my writer friends, here is something you may not think about until it's too late: 
          
          Do NOT write straight into Wattpad, even if you are using your phone. 
          
          If you have an internet connection and do not have one of the word processing applications that you have to pay for, use Google Docs. It's free! You can easily use your phone and copy/paste it over when you are done editing. 
          
          You now have it in a cloud and can reach it anywhere that has an internet connection. Did I mention it's free? You can also email chapters to yourself so you have them in a folder in your email. 
          
          Do NOT assume that a glitch won't happen and your story removed. Once it's gone, unless you have an appeal reverse the decision---it's gone. 
          
          Don't lose all of your work. 
          
          If you've written straight into Wattpad in the past, copy it into GDocs or your email asap.  
          
          It breaks my heart when someone announces they've lost their work. I know first hand how much blood, sweat, and tears went into each chapter. Treat those words with the respect they deserve. 
          
          Stay safe and hydrate!

I agree with you, @AprilJester :) this is a great advice for all writers, regardless if they’re writing on Wattpad or other platforms.
            
            Always keep a backup of your stories in Google Drive, Word, WPS, or another safe place. Better yet, keep multiple copies or even print them out if you can. Then you can simply copy and paste your work onto Wattpad or whichever platform you use.
            
            I honestly feel so sad for the writers who have lost their stories because they didn't have a backup. T_T It's heartbreaking to lose something you've spent so much time and effort creating. So, fellow writers, always back up your work!

@AprilJester Thanks for sharing that advice! I’ve always done it through Google Docs simply because I liked it better. That never would have crossed my mind as an issue though, but now I definitely see how it’s more than possible! I know that I’ve had comments in the past that have been wiped after being interrupted by a bot scam.

          Hope you don't mind, but though your profile, as you have bigger audience and people listen to you, I would like to let writers of wattpad know, that nightmare with Googleplay books continue. Somebody is again stealing our books and selling them there.
          People should check out their books and fill out DMCA report once again if they find them stolen.

@uschibear -- lupe6583v is an amazing artist. We use sugararmy07 for stickers and fan art. SeraDrake does fabulous artwork as well.
