I would love it if Wattpad made a feature to rate and review stories so people can actually decide whether they want to read it instead of taking a nose dive into the unknown. I also think it would reduce the amount of people who judge a book by it's cover because they'd at least look at the rating.

Does anyone else think that or am I spouting nonsense? I feel like it would be a popular opinion, but it's not a feature so who knows.

@AuroraBliss123 Okay! Then let's start with some Historical Romances. Rob Thier is a pretty great author. I'd recommend his "Storm and Silence" Series (though it is pretty long, it's a great read!) And the spin off to it "Lord Day and Lady Knight"! His "Robber Knight" series is also amazing! The age ratings for these vary.

A rather good thriller/romance is "Follow Me Back" - I'm rereading it right now and loving every second of it.

Another really good one is #AskAmy, this one isn't like a normal novel since it's told mostly in images of social media posts, private messages, comments, etc. It's all fictional, though.

Check them out and tell me your thoughts!

If you're more interested in Teen Fiction, I have some of my old favourites in my "Favourites" reading list which you can see

Can someone recommend a really good book to me? Something so great that it'll get me out of my reading slump? Ever since I switched to manga, I really can't seem to spare the effort to read a proper book, so I'm trying to get over that. Anything you can think of would be much appreciated!

Thanks! We met through the TGGBB discord so I can safely tick that off lol, but I'll give these a try!

If we're talking genres, I enjoy romance fantasy, but I hate stuff that has love triangles, or super high stress situations.

            Again, thanks a lot!

The next chapter of 'A Dying Spark' unfortunately won't go up today.

There are a few reasons for this, one being my broken laptop (but that's not the main reason).

The thing about this chapter is I wasn't sure what it should be. It's not writer's block because I generally know what's going to happen, but I've spent most of my time thinking about the second act of the book. I know what'll happen in the first act, but I'd never really considered what order to put everything in.

That was my main struggle in writing this chapter and by Friday I'd already rewritten it three times. My laptop breaking was just the icing on top. So instead of forcing myself to write it out again straight away, I decided to take a step back and write down my outline. Not going into major details but just a play by play of what's going to happen and what that'll lead to. It's really helped me smoothen out plot holes that would've come up later and made it hard to write, but it isn't finished yet.

On top of that, I have exams that I need to revise for this week, so chances are the outline will be mostly complete by Friday and the chapter by Sunday.

Thank you for being patient with me.

          Peace

So I did a thing. I'm not sure what exactly I did, but I did a thing. And my laptop probably isn't going to survive the next month. So if updates are delayed, it's because I'm probably trying to write on my phone. I'll try to update as usual, but I just wanted to warn you in case I don't.

          Peace

Update: I took it to my dad and we took it apart together to find the problem. A metal part of the hinge has broken off and he says he can probably meld a part to replace it and secure it, but I don't know how long that's going to take so the updates will be hindered. I have to use my phone for school (because after that I'm not trusting myself anywhere near my dad's laptop) so it's going to be pressed for charge and I won't be able to write a lot.

            Really sorry about this.

            Peace

There is nothing scarier than trying to go to the bathroom at 3am without any lights on and suddenly hear someone whisper "Hi Ara" from the dark. I almost screamed. Well, leave it to my little brother to mess his room up so bad that he had to sleep on the couch in the reception -_-.
