The moment I place my headphone's over my ears, it's as though I've stepped into another world. The monochrome scenery starts to bloom into colors I've only dreamed of seeing at least once in my lifetime. They weren't just generic colors you'd find on any color wheel, or see within any of today's music. They were my colors- just mine. Because only I could see them, because I created them. Because the music swirling around me in a beautiful array of colors, was what I created. It was my song. And I could sing it to my hearts content, because I knew that if I couldn't hear myself, I wouldn't doubt myself. And I knew that no one else would listen, so I could sing with every emotion that lies within me, creating a melody of colors that belonged to only me, and forming the poetry of my hearts pain into lyrics.
