I hate it. I hate it when I try so hard but cant get the appreciation of the person who matters to me the most. I really like to draw but its not hyper realistic. I first used to draw anime but never got appreciated by my mom.... she kept saying this is nothing If u could draw u would draw actual faces. So then I started to work hard to draw faces I went from anime to semi realism. After still not getting her attention I swiched to realism which was really hard to achieve. Took me almost three years of hard work to get where I am. I am still trying to make it perfect. But in my opinion its not that bad. EVERYONE except for her says its nice but not once have I got her thumbs up or" thats really good " all I got was" thats ok/nice but if you put this much effort in to ur studies u would be a better student " . I heard this every time I did any drawing/art. And tbh it is so unmotivating that I legit cried today. I cried because all I wanted to hear was "that is really good" without any buts attached to it. It hate it.

@ArastyaZanain you do know that she secretly is really proud of you. It's just that, you keep drawing during the exam season and previously, your grades were not so good. And now that you're improving in that as well, you don't know how happy and proud she is of you. She likes your art very much but doesn't admit it in front of you because it is very time consuming and doesn't want you to leave studying for drawing. I get that you might know this but you still want to hear it from her. You'll get there soon. If you keep your studies and everything in check while doing your art (which is very beautiful and I am very proud to have a best friend who can draw so soo well for I can't even lift a pencil) she'll come around soon. Try not to get demotivated by this, after all she wants the best for you (I know you're tired of hearing this but this is actually the truth—a FACT). Believe me when I say she really appreciates your work and is proud that her daughter is so talented in a field where others have given up after the first try.
