Allen Scovil is a Christian writer of young adult science-fiction and fantasy novels, which he began as a hobby back in 2003, searching for ways to make them Christ- and God-centred, instead of technology- or magic-centred.
He has self-published six books so far (both in print and ebook), most recently Thirst, about an orphan boy seeking safety in all the wrong places after a life of abuse. Before that, Allen completed a four-book series titled The Parables of the Game Master, which is a fantasy about a boy transported to a mysterious Land of the Heart run by the enigmatic Game Master, where there are mysteries to be solved, and lies to be untangled. However, Allen's favourite is his first, Deep Black Road: The Head of the Snake (and its sequel in the works, Deep Black Road II: The Link & the Tag), about robotic humans using their unique skills to combat those who would dominate the world for their own ends. He's currently considering an idea for a Christian horror story; but we'll have to see if that works out.
You can see fuller descriptions of his books on his web site, allen-scovil.com; and you can look him up on Facebook or Amazon.com.
He currently resides in Tillsonburg, Ontario, and is the proud grandfather of two boys and a girl, who he visits regularly.
