We often get lost in the worlds authors create for us readers. This time, it felt different. This short story felt like a snapshot of real human life. The messy, the painful, and the confusing all wrapped up in a dozen chapters. I always make it a point to admire a writer's ingenuity when they have an entire theme dedicated to house their story. Voice Addiction was a thing to admire. From the title to the chapter headings to it's deep thoughts, this little story had a constant frequency it vibrated on.
As a story, it brought to light the struggle one must go through before we could, without a doubt, go after what we truly desire. It's a tale of hope, of a light at the end of the tunnel. And of the realization that the light we all pray for comes from within.
Favorite line: "Sophie was immersed in music, and at the same time, completely sound proof."
