Don't worry! Nobody will steal them! There are only tiny chances that people will copy it. But people notice it right away so there is NO WAY they're going to complete the story stealing the credit. Unless, you tell your readers that you gave that person permission.
Just like this Carl Grimes (The Walking Dead) fan fiction, it was copied from some girl in Quotev. But she only posted two chapters when there was like, ten chapters from the original.
Also, you can't copy work when you read them. Try going to your book (The published one, not the one in My Works) and copy and paste it. YOU CAN'T. So relax.
