Description of my writing style, I guess?

Their thorny-tipped fins glinted as their body arched smoothly through the water, a couple of turquoise-tinted swordfish zipped past, each wishing to be the first.
A sky of rippled waves blanketed the ocean, far above, meanwhile deep below lay an infinite darkness; a darkness so empty and void of light it felt like it could swallow you, mind and soul.
But they were not afraid of the darkness, nor the surface, with its opposite, infinite light.
For this was their home, and where they would stay in peace.
