            “  the most popular  ,  huh  ?  “ keith grinned  ,  “  i can see that  ...  i mean  ,,  you ‘ re so charming and really like  ,,  rad  !  “ keith was pretty old - school  ,  still using old slang like it was relevant  .  either way  ,  he means what he said  .  while keith was admittedly rather shit at expressing how he felt when it didn ‘ t involve music or some random spur of the moment where he just dumps all his positive emotions at once (  which his ego would refuse to admit either of these were true  ,  ) he was genuinely infatuated with pico and even just seeing him as days passed made him feel like things were worth fulfilling  .  he listened intently as pico rambled about the history behind the crumbling exterior of the school wall  ,  marveling over how it still managed to just stay there  .  although it was rather depressing  ,  keith couldn ‘ t help but find himself impressed by pico ‘ s bravery  —  not that pico was never brave  ,  but the situation in itself seemed rather peculiar  .  nothing keith ever really experienced  .  “  6 months  ?  “ keith questioned  ,  6 months free of no people sounds like bliss  ,  but with it being really put into perspective  ,  especially with the circumstances that caused this period of loneliness  ,  it was probably hell  ,  “  what did you even do for 6 months  ?  “

            pico sighed , how could he say no to that smile ? it was practically impossible to . it was like puppy eyes but .. keith version " nonono its fine . " at this point his arms weren ' t even tired . just because he couldn ' t say no to a smile . he suddenly changed the subject " see that giant hole in the side of the school right there ? that ' s where i totally beat cassandra ' s ass . never saw her again after that , think she died due to some alien thing . i was the only kid in my class for about 6 months after that , no idea what happened to nene either at this point . " while that might ' ve been a bit of a gloomy story once you thought about it , pico thought that part about beating cassandra was specifically cool for some reason . cassandra would yell at pico if she was alive to , it was funny to see cassandra yell until suddenly only pico was left . but that event was 7 years ago , at this point , this school isn ' t a threat to no one , not even pico . pico would always sneak into the playground , even when the school was still open , nobody realized somehow . " believe it or not i was the popular kid at the school , most popular . " you' d find it hard to believe , but surprisingly pico was telling the truth . practically everyone loved him , for some reason pico never really understood .

            keith’s hands gripped around the rust-forming chain that held up the swing, staring off at the rest of the playground that resided in the atmosphere pico used to frequent && had to endure during a tragedy. it almost flattered keith that pico trusted him enough to take him to somewhere so vulnerable with a depressing history. keith was lucky enough to never have witnessed such a thing but he couldn’t imagine what pico went through at that moment and what he must’ve felt bringing him here. keith soon snapped back to reality upon hearing his boyfriend’s voice, completely forgetting pico was pushing him on this old swing set. keith had to really think about it, he still endured a rather childish mentality for small things like this — playgrounds still continuing to be one his favorite things in the world, especially swingsets of all things. 
            “welllll...” keith was about to negotiate, a flustered smile starting to form on his face as he looked at pico, “if i must get off then i will ... but if this could continue that’d be great too! i’m okay with anything as long as you are.” keith let out his signature dorky grin.
