BewareTheChain

In addition to revising Infernal Academia, I have decided to post my work to Royal Road, and after a few hiccups regarding content, I am pleased to announce that the first chapters has been published.

          	I shan't lie; it's somewhat terrifying. But it's a new opportunity nonetheless.

Well, would you look at that; another unplanned hiatus. Just what will he do next?

All joking aside, I've decided to completely overhaul the original Infernal Academia while I wait for a third party to complete a work commission, so if you feel inclined to look, do excuse the mess. Additionally, I would like to formally apologise for my absence, as I've been through quite a lot these past few months. I'll spare you the details and move on to something lighter in tone.

I got a new cat. Her name is Violence, and she earned that name ten times over before we even brought her home from the shelter. She's a terror who screams for attention and hisses as a greeting, and I don't believe I could love her any more than I already do. Scraps is somewhat jelous, but such is natural for cats.

Anyway, look forward to updates to the original IA: Cobalt will act more in line with his character, the girls will have their personalities refined, and I may even throw in some more bawdy jokes. I know you all missed those.

          Ta.

Well, the inactivity on my part is somewhat inexcusable, but to be fair, I was getting married.

To make up for my lack of productivity, I have knocked out a short Halloween-esque story for those interested, as those of you who know me well will know that this event is quite dear to me for several reasons. In terms of future activity, I will certainly do my best, though I'm still going to have to struggle with newlywed life.

Erin wishes me to wish you all a good Halloween, and that she loves each and every one of you. And as impractical as it sounds, I'm inclined to agree. Thank you for your patience.

And yes, I took her surname.

And thus as ash settled on the land
          Our hero rose from fell
With holy blade in remaining hand
He trekked far and wide through hell

Blood still hot yet heart ran cold
His swathe was cut not with rage
But temperance long since fallen old
Since the dawn of this cursed age

Blood of god, flesh of man
          Heart of cold wrought steel
Our hero sought those who upped and ran
To once more learn how to feel

Thus the world fell to ash
But again shall rise from shame
When our hero dons the gilded sash
Of the stark lord of the Reclaim

It's a wonder my therapist hasn't read these.

Exam Year edits have been completed, and by extension, the entire SSTS series has been updated with all of the correct details. Most errors have been righted, I've taken a bar of soap to Cobalt's unusually filthy mouth, Brass has received extra yankification, the girls have each been improved in their own rights, Lilith's name is now spelled correctly - so you may stop reminding me - and Mr. Suyas finally has a first name.

Among other things, of course, but I'm sure you get the gist.

For those who have been worrying, no, I have not given up on Final Chances, it's just taking me some time to get my affairs in order before I attempt to complete this frankly soul-draining yet oddly rewarding project. As for Hallowed Be Thy Blade and it's merry little band of rabid fans, I am planning on slowing down the uploads, but the chapters will be longer and more full of content, so look forward to that.

Thank you for being patient with me, and furthermore, thank you for reading my works.

There's just a lot of things I need to sort out.

I am getting married after all.

It sounds weirder when I say it out loud, I know.
