Mkay, a little personal but....
To my writers out there, do you ever feel like you want to truly express pent up emotions or ideas, or just something you want to put into your own words, but the story you're writing wasn't made for that?
For me, I started writing Cocoa Hooves as a statement about something that matters to me. Something that I see too often in this world and it goes ignored.
And I still think that message is important, and I'm going to get it out there, but there's another part of me wanting to express something else. And I can't, not through this story anyway. Because it would be dishonest to my characters and to the world they already live in.
I feel like I'm in a limbo. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't post any other works until Cocoa Hooves is completed. Of course, I'll still write about it, but it will be entirely for me, at least until my first project is done.
It feels a little heavy, but maybe it's my eyes; I haven't been getting good sleep lately so that's probably contributing to my melodrama haha

@BibblieSox Yeah, I feel like different forms of writing do different things tho. If you really want to say something about the world or process a difficult experience writing stories sometimes is great. But if it's pure emotion poetry is so nice, because it is quick and has no real rules. It's just you and whatever words you can find for your emotions.
