I hope you’re well Bill- I was just thinking of you.
Through the years, I noticed a lot of sadness and lack of hope in your poetry, or so it seemed.
While it’s great to express it all with reckless abandon, as I also love to do, I only hope you’ve found the the One who can comfort you in every pain, and in the end, does answer every hurting hope.
I’m sure you know the story- it’s the one that tells
us that in our darkness a light us dawned, and it is Jesus, the baby that was born so many years ago. And yes, He died, but He is God and now He lives, and I’ve only ever found lasting relief and help and comfort when I’ve given it to Him. All else fails me. I know He’s real and here and what He’s says in the Bible is reliable every day of my life. I have joy now and peace and a helper through every difficulty.
          I wish that for you.

          Merry Christmas,
Thank you for all you did with PoetsPub,

Hi Bill,
Would like to chat Oct 10...?

BillTemple1957

@orkneyman I would love to meet you. Unfortunately I no longer live in Newfoundland. I have actually lived in Leduc Alberta for the past 25 years. I just did a lot of my writing based on Newfoundland and I did visit often while my parents were alive. Unfortunately both have passed, so I have no longer any need or desire to go back to Newfoundland. It was a great idea and would have been cool, but as you can see, it is impossible. Thanks my friend and enjoy the visit there.

Hey, Bill - thought I'd go for a seasonal entry if you permit.
Best of everything for you and yours - Merry Christmas!

          A Grateful Hallelujah! (Title

The time has come again this year

When we wish all those around good cheer
And hope we all enjoy a bright new future
While temperatures drop and snowflakes fall
We’re hanging ivy in the hall
And joyfully we shout a Hallelujah

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelujah, Hallelujah

The family all sits around the tree
They’re sharing gifts with you and me
And laughter fills the room with its sweet music
The excitement in the children’s eyes
Our own good fortune we can’t disguise
And for the world we cry a Hallelujah

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelujah, Hallelujah

It was long ago we knew the joy
The birth of a new baby boy
Whose message was for lasting peace on Earth
And while it hasn’t quite worked out
We can stand together with a mighty shout
And give our world a grateful Hallelujah!

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelujah, Hallelujah

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hi, I hope you are well :)

BillTemple1957

@openadoor34 I have been tempted to shut my account down altogether. Dont hear much from anyone anymore, especially since I shut down the Poets Pub. But I am still hanging around for now.

@BillTemple1957 All is well here, too. My daughter and I are big fans of K-pop, and we saw Jin of BTS at Prudential Center at the end of July. I closed my Wattpad account on Feb 24 and came back exactly six months later before my work got deleted. It’s very quiet here. The only person I’ve heard from is Pat.
            Enjoy your retirement.

Hi, thought I'd send another if you're interested

          Another Message From Destiny (Title)

An e-mail arrived the other day

And I read with sadness what it had to say
Another friend from years gone by had passed
I found his number and made the call
He barely remembered me at all
And I knew right then there’d be no Hallelujah

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Twelve people, fifty years close friends
Now just two, awaiting what portends
Holding many memories we couldn’t share
There’s nothing left to say at all
A last goodbye, I end the call
His days now ending in a home of care

          No Hallelujah, No Hallelujah
          No Hallelu-u-j-ah

Now no one’s left to commiserate
A few old photos to contemplate
It’s how life goes, there’s nothing we can do, ya
But I’m not marking any date
So sorry fate, you’ll have to wait
And from my heart I’m shouting Hallelujah

          Hallelujah, Hallelujah
          Hallelu-u-j-ah
