I’m looking for a book. Can someone help me find it? What I remember: It’s sci fi (iirc) about a society that’s recruiting pilots for the inter-galactic Air Force to fly spacecraft in the war. And it follows the story of a 14 year old boy who is abnormally adept at flying a spacecraft (through the flight simulator the recruiters were using to test recruits) and is accused of cheating by the head commander. The Air-force captain is asked to come in and personally verify that the boy was indeed not cheating. He’s a natural pilot/is recruited. Within a few years he becomes head captain and is flying a mission on a frozen planet(?), but sees something big/extremely threatening and gets hit and he and his crew are lost. He is the only one who survives and is picked up by flyovers 6 years later. He lost all of him memories and during this time of recovery, starts to regain them vaguely. Which is where the story actually starts Can someone help find it or direct me somewhere else where more people will see this? Thanks!

@Birb141 Wow this sounds really good AND familiar. I'm not sure what story it is, but if I come across it, I'll let you know!
