R.I.P. Sassy, my gorgeous and loyal Pitbull.
We learned together, played together, and grew up together. When you were a puppy I could barely distinquish between you and other dogs. My parents had been frightened of you. The rumors of Pitbulls were horrid. But you proved them wrong.
You pawed your way into all of our hearts and have been around since Elementary school for me.
When I got home early, no one was home. You sat downstairs with me, eating Applejacks while we watched Spongebob. Do you remember, Sassy?
How about when you nibbled on my hair and got your tooth stuck in my ponytail? You dragged me around, trying to get it lose. It was really funny now that I think back on it.
And the time I would spend, leaving school to come take you outside and keep an eye on your puppies. I know some are waiting, will you say hello to Star for us? I bet she'll be so happy to have her mommy back.
Or even the time you charged into the bathroom to rescue me from a pincher bug that had scuttled across my foot. I had screamed, scared admittedly. But you, legs stiff with arthritis and it hurt you to move, ran in to protect me.
You've done so much in my life. Changed my parents views on such creatures the world has labeled awful. Touched so many lives.
It's time to rest, Sassy Mama. We will meet again someday. I love you. ❤
