Hiatus may be extended until fall on account of my dorm being so fcking hot I genuinely can’t sleep and can barely think about anything else srry
Taking yet another hiatus to move into Uni.
Anyways can’t believe they banned smvt. I don’t personally read/write it but like this is the place to read smvt. I think they’re making a huge mistake but whatever.

Hey there. I’m sorry I keep extending my time off. Life has been a bit crazy. I’ve been so busy just one thing into the next. Graduation then traveling, then I was sick for a bit, then working, now my family is moving and I’m still preparing to move again in the fall for university. I’ve barely had a chance to work on anything but i promise I’ll be back as soon as I can.

I’m sorry for the extended hiatus guys. I got back from my trip a few days ago but I caught a fricking cold >:(
Well I’ve just graduated. Yes, I am old. Since I’m unc now I want to give y’all some words of wisdom and the advice I wish I had when I started highschool. So, here goes:
Listen, I kept a respectable GPA all four years. I started honors clubs and volunteered. I tried my hardest and got into a wonderful college. I never let anyone peer pressure me and I always made sure I was responsible. But. I also drank, I smoked, I made out with people, I said dumb things, I stayed out late, and I have some regrets. I did both sides of the highschool coin. I partied and I was academic. You don’t have to be one thing or the other. Do what you want. Truly. But make sure you’re always being true to yourself.
Don’t let anyone convince you to be afraid of the world. You have to be smart and wary of situations but don’t be afraid of life. It took me until my senior year to really understand that. But I still had some incredible experiences.
Really, don’t close yourself off from anything. I am a staunch rule follower but breaking one rule, taking one chance got me into my dream college.

@Ivelynnnnnn not at all! This sounds really annoying as someone who hasn’t been through the college process yet but good colleges aren’t really a thing. It’s more important to find the college that’s the best fit for you. I definitely learned the hard way and did find myself chasing prestige but ended up picking a college I hadn’t considered or heard of until recently. Many colleges now incorporate writing (short paragraphs essays unique to each college) iand extracurricular activities as an important aspect of the application a support to the academics. Also you have an opportunity to explain any strange patterns in grades (for instance I had a long period of sickness freshman year that affected my grades). Definitely be flexible though, I thought I wanted to go to this once schools but I didn’t get in, then I unexpectedly discovered my school and it absolutely in love with it! I’m happy to give college advice!

I felt a slight urge to write to you again, it was like an open letter. Oh my god, how much I exposed myself here... the most embarrassing thing evaaa. Anyway, ignore it. I hope you're well, healthy, happy (with those around you and with yourself! - that's the most important thing -), and studious. Ugh, how annoying, lol, me talking like a mother, when I'm probably the same age as you... ugh!
