To the people that say cats are cold animals that only stick around for the food you give them, man you’ve had some bad luck. All of the cats I’ve ever owned have been the sweetest, softest, most adorable little fluff balls they could be. Cats love people! They’ll follow you from room to room, sleep with you, and cuddle and purr until they fall asleep. Heck, my kitten gets the cutest little happy expression when I wake up and she runs to me purring her heart out.

Sorry ‘bout the little rant, just something I’ve been told by many a dog person. I recently got a kitten, and when I told people I was getting one, I was showered with the statement ‘Why not get a dog, why a cat?’ It makes me sad that people think that me liking cats means I connect with an emotionless animal. That’s not it at all. If you treat a cat right, they’ll be as sweet as any dog with that added bonus that you can carry them around even as adults (most of the time. Unless you have a 50 pound cat that really needs to learn portion control). That’s all ^-^
