Planets don't collide but researchers discovered that something set off the orbit of Venus - over the years, it was found that the orbit was actually shifting and of course it was bound to cross into the orbit of another planets. They did their calculations and the hapless planet was Earth. Was this the work of the aliens or just some messed up destiny?
          
          The day came. The collision was intense. Half the planet was crushed on impact. The Earth was pushed out of it orbit as Venus crashed into it. The Earth stopped orbiting and thus there was no gravity. 
          
          Everything and everyone floated into space and of course they all died. How would their bodies even decompose in space?
          The Earth was left in a million shards and so was its brother planet, Venus.
          The only world remaining for them now is the spirit realm.
