Hello!

My name is Hallie.

I'm twenty-something. I have two cats. Already (but hopefully affectionately) dubbed a crazy cat lady by loved ones. Argo is my wild child, and Audrey is my pretty lady that's as skittish as the wind. Both are too cute for their own good.

I'm here to hone my skills and learn new things. I hope to professionally publish a book one day, and this is part of the journey. For my first book, I asked myself "Can I write a book?". For my second book, I asked "How much can I push my prose and plot?". For my third book, I'm asking "Can I write in third person?". We'll see how it goes!

I'm not British but I used a username generator years ago when I was just going to be a reader, and I don't know how to change it! [Update: now that I know how to change it, I can't change it due to events I'm part of around Wattpad].

I try my best to find new works that deserve some love. The algorithm is hard! My reading time hasn't been as abundant as I would like recently, but I'll lurk as often as I can. In the words of my favorite movie when I was six: we're all in this together!

Please vote, comment, and share! There is nothing like the thrill of seeing reader engagement, and I truly think it means so much more than most people realize. It absolutely makes my day, and I spend way more time rereading and glowing over comments than I should probably admit.

Feel free to message me! Send me a random question, I'll answer it. Send me a hello, and I'll hello back. I'm always looking to make connections with others.

"Why do you write like you're running out of time?
Write day and night like you're running out of time
...
How do you write like tomorrow won't arrive?
How do you write like you need it to survive?
How do you write every second you're alive?"
