Jesse Vasquez was born and raised in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and even though he has moved away from Bushwick, Brooklyn, he still considers himself a true Brooklyn Knight. He was released from a NYS prison in 2011, where he had spent 6 years for selling drugs. He took the time and used it to write his first book, Brooklyn Gangsta's. It is also the reason he chose "Crime Pays Publications" as the name of his company. Not to say that crime pays because it doesn't. But if it weren't for his crime, he wouldn't have written a book, so in his case, it paid……..
