I am an ex-astronomer and physics teacher with a passion for sci-fi and spaceships. I have self-published a non-fiction book called Building the Universe, which is available on amazon, and I am now working on a hard sci fi story called Bishop's Journey, which is available here!
I am an adoring fan of Battletech, and it was in that universe that I first found a love of sci-fi that focuses on the human stories. As silly as the concept of giant walking tanks is, Battletech grounds itself by telling the tales of normal people living in a fantastic world.
I aspire to write stories that follow in this vein - stories about people, not about alien overlords and rogue AIs. My writing is also grounded in real physics. I was educated in astrophysics, and my stories reflect that. While the science is not the focus of my stories, it informs what is possible, and I aim for my fiction to feel real.
If this sounds like the sort of thing you might get into, I hope you'll take the time to read my book as I write it. I invite feedback and comments on my work, as I want to always improve my writing, and can't do that if I am just patting myself on the back all the time!
