          I swear, I get legitimately surprised whenever someone doesn't have at least ONE favourite female character! I WON'T EVEN TOUCH A SHOW/MOVIE/GAME IF I HEAR THAT THE FEMALE CHARACTERS ARE POORLY WRITTEN OR SIDELINED

Considering how awfully poc characters (ESPECIALLY black characters) tend to be treated in fandom spaces, I think the public reaction to The Backrooms movie is a breath of fresh air
          
          Do you guys know how rare it is to see a black character not just become a fan favourite, but also WOOBIFIED by a fandom!?
