C. E. Sundstrom (Carl) is a new Indie Author from Australia. His debut novel "Awakenings" (released 2014) is the first installment of the Grave Misgivings series of six novels. The second in the series "Phoenix" has now been released. The first four novels are written with release dates to be scheduled after the release of "Phoenix". His genre is Sci-Fi/Fantasy with a paranormal bent.

He grew up in the hills of Kinglake West just to the North of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. At that time Kinglake West was a rural community with one street light, lots of wombats and kangaroos and a small number of farming families. 

Carl is 46 years old, happily married, living in a sleepy country town called Doreen (located between Kinglake and Melbourne) with two very spoilt cats.  Yes he is still surrounded by kangaroos and wombats.

His favorite authors are Agatha Christie, Edgar Alan Poe and Douglas Adams. 

Carl holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Horticulture and has had a varied worklife, employed in the nursery industry as well as a being a caring funeral director prior to writing novels.

A people person, Carl loves nothing better than chatting to readers at markets as he promotes his book. He can be found most weekends at various markets in Victoria along with other Australian authors including Tracy M. Joyce.

Carl's goal with his writing is to make people smile while taking them on a curious journey.
