Rep. John Larson (D-Conn.) on Tuesday said he filed impeachment articles against President Trump for the war in Iran, citing his recent social media post promising to erase a “whole civilization” if the Strait of Hormuz was not reopened immediately.
“Donald Trump has blown past every requirement to be removed from office. And it’s getting worse. His illegal war in Iran is not only driving up prices for American families — it has cost American lives,” said Larson, who’s in his 14th term, in a statement.
“He’s becoming more unstable by the day. His profane and sacrilegious Easter Sunday and subsequent threats, including ‘a whole civilization will die’ and ‘open the Strait … or you’ll be living in hell’ not only foreshadow war crimes, but put our security at risk,” he added.
A total of 70 Democrats, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) and Rep. Yaasmin Ansari (D-Ariz.), said Trump’s Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment, which would spark an involuntary transfer of power from the president to the vice president due to an inability to serve.

OMG "The Guardians" is number 1 in ONC2026. The ratings change very rapidly. When I first submitted it got as high as number 4 then quickly dropped into the 500s and then just overnight I got to first place. Does anyone know how these ratings are computed?

@DennisRoyer I had figured out the part about recent updates because I noticed books with the most recent updates often rate high regardless of the number of reads or votes. I did not know about the relevance of tags. Thanks.

I just posted 11 more chapters to The Guardians to complete the 8K word requirement for ONC2026 round 2. The chapters are all very short. The Author's note has been significantly modified. I know it does not count toward the word count.

@DennisRoyer I like to wait until the last minute to post because I'm always re-editing earlier chapters. Offline, I've got 16,000 words now and 34 chapters. I'm probably going to post most of them this week. I'm pretty close to the end as I don't think this is going to run much over the 20,000 word minimum. Thanks for asking.
