This Independence Day I am proud to announce I have posted part two of my book “The Guardians.” Although it is primarily intended to humorously entertain, I am hopeful that it might also provide some insights into the political turmoil currently plaguing our country and the world as a whole.
The book is dedicated to the guardians who honorably protect and serve all of us. It is only appropriate that on this 250th anniversary of the United States declaration of independence that I point out that the guardians of this country have all sworn oaths to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same.
Note that the oath we swore was not to a king or a country or even to a people. It was to protect and defend a constitution; a set of laws that represents the ideals this country was founded on. The basis of these ideals was most eloquently stated in our declaration of independence by the same founding fathers who later went on to draft the constitution. These ideals are best summarized in the words “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Part two of “The Guardians” focuses on two Russian brothers and takes place mostly in Russia. I wanted to point out that noble guardians are not found only in the United States but are found in every country no matter how corrupt the current regime may be.
I do hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Have a happy Independence Day and let freedom ring.

@CFarley982 Even in Basic Training, we were told to only follow rightful orders or only Lawful orders. To Protect and Defend the Constitution. My feelings were that oath was to protect the rights of the people. That Oath will not end until I take my last breath. I know the oaths are different, yet I would refuse any orders against the Constitution.

My dog as usual woke me in the middle of the night last night to go out and pee, but when I took her to the back door slider, she smelled something at the threshold and wouldn't go out. She and four of my five cats were frightened by something. But my little Marine, Shadow, a Maine Coon who fears nothing sat in front of the door guarding and protecting us. We checked the cameras the next day and saw a black bear had climbed our wrought iron fence and climbed up to our back deck to check out our back door. I wasn't worried because Shadow was on guard. :-)

@CFarley982 We have the Maryville bear. I've never seen her, but she has two cubs. They moved her back into the park. That is tweny miles away if not more.

Is anyone else getting the message "comment won't post" when trying to post a comment?
Does anyone know what is going on with the ONC2026 judging? They are more than a month behind schedule and they aren't answering questions. I'm ready to post my part two of "The Guardians" but I can't until ONC judging ends.

Hi, Joe. How are things your way? All is about the same here. We still have three cats, of course, Raven. She acts like the umpire when they decide they want to argue. Both Sarah and Liz are doing fine.
Mix & Match, although the history is real, it is based on an alternative history. Do you have any certain things that stick out in your memory that could be helpful as far as what people were thinking? I hope the story isn't like a jumbled up mess. If you have time, your thoughts. I value your perspective.
