I adore that moment you open a new book and there are one thousand different possibilities laid out in front of you. Like the Moirae, authors snip different strands and weave the fates of their characters at their will, and the dance of creativity and imagination is enchanting. We breathe with the characters, just as we laugh, sing, and weep with them. 

In this delicate dual ballet and symphony I seek my own place among the performers. Perhaps I am a harpist, or a prim ballerina performing in the show. Or perhaps I am just the stage hand directing the lights, or the scriptwriter, just enjoying the masterpiece that was created.

Maybe we are all of them, together, you and I. 

In that case, let the show begin.
