I've always liked playing pretend. It was my favorite thing to do as a child when visiting friends. Reading was another of my favorite pastimes, and I was always drawn to fantasy. Not as much sword and sandal novels, but books like "The Witches," but Roald Dahl. As a child, I loved the worlds he invented for his characters to live in. As an adult, I have the same fond feelings for "Dune." It's a lot of fun to live in the worlds that others make, and the worlds you write for yourself.
After you read a certain amount, it's hard not to start writing yourself. Like the pressure from all of the ideas you've read have to come out in a unique way. I'm using the space I am creating here to experiment. I hope you enjoy my efforts.
