I have been writing since I could hold a crayon in my fist. While I love to write, reading is what truly got me started on this journey of being an author. When I was young, my mother would read to me every day. My love of writing comes from a mind that never ceases and an imagination that tends to run wild. Ernest Hemingway described my style of writing better than I ever could: "There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at the typewriter and bleed." I write to let my mind's worlds come to life in words. The hope that I could reach readers like my favorite authors have reached me helps keep me motivated to finish projects. Some of my favorite authors would include: Brent Weeks, J.K. Rowling, Terry Brooks, Stephanie Reisen, and J.R.R. Tolkien. When my world seemed dark and uninviting, I would escape into their worlds. These authors helped spark the fire in me to write my stories, allowing others to view pieces of my soul.
