I simply like writing the kind of stories I would want to read, and  I don't write fan fiction(nothing against those that do, it's just not to my tastes), anything that I post is original.  

As a huge fan of 'The Twilight Zone', I've become partial to writing characters as neither good or evil in the traditional sense, but looking more deeply into what drives and motivates each individual.  Villains are among my favorite characters to study in depth, as a writer I like to make the villains the protagonists and let the reader discover whether or not they still feel that the protag is actually "evil", much less a villain in the strictest sense.  Much of my writing style and drive for writing stems(like many writers) from the diverse and, at times, stressful life and career fields. 

As for my personal life, I live with my wife, two beagles and a cat.  I've been in several different professions over the years from analysis to logistics and I'm currently preparing to go back to school.  Busy though I am, there is always a sense of necessity to writing, and whilst I'm slow to post up pieces I am nearly always working on something.
