The ego is more than simple vanity, but I don't want to read what dead philosophers wrote because it isn't interesting. Who enjoys being lectured by someone who has no way of knowing what life is like for you? Yet I value then, because they did have a perspective that reached millions of others.
If my perspective is not broad enough to reach millions, that's fine. I just need to express it.
