I'm an award winning author from the state of Kentucky. Granted it was I who issued the awards, they're still writing awards, and they're still mine. 😁 I consider myself a "southern gothic" writer. My stories are usually character driven. I feel that character is the heart of any good story and I usually develop my protagonist and allow them to tell the story and form a plot from where they guide me. 

At the moment I am working on a novel, but my heart is, and always will be, with the short story. I delve into some pretty dark places with my characters. Many are flawed, go to horrific and terrifying places to get what they want, but they're real. I put as much work as I possibly can into making each identifiable in some way. And I do my best to inject humor into them. Whether it's the journey itself, or the dialogue.

It's my hope to meet writer friends. To share this passion with others. And to get and give feedback and help one another develop our stories.
