Friendly reminder that fanfictions, fanart, and AUs exist for a reason.

Hint: You don't have to be canon compliant for a reason. It's called an "Alternate Universe" for a reason <333

If you disagree, feel free to take your opinions elsewhere.

Secret, small drabble (because I have nowhere else to put it on this website :D)

          His Reflection (and nothing more)

There was one thing that Henry Jekyll wanted more than anything else in the world.

A drabble based on "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson, and "The Glass Scientists" webcomic.

Title inspired by the Jekyll and Hyde musical song, "His Work and Nothing More".

Hope you enjoy (if you ever find this, LOL)! <3

It was a simple luxury many had. Most never noticed it lest their appearance mattered to their vain selves. A shadow, a puddle, and most especially a mirror presented this indulgence to all.

          All except him.

And as he stared into the shimmering glass before him, he—once more—saw that familiar smirking face accompanied by leering, green eyes. Green eyes that weren’t his brown. Green eyes that sent pangs through his hammering heart.

Because all Henry Jekyll wanted was to see his reflection, and not his .
