What to do when you want to request an update of fic but the author has a really busy schedule and has an important exam coming?

The troubles of exams. Gotta wait a week for writing next chapter.

So, I've been trying to get into frequent update schedule—updating Vignettes archive—and that made me contemplate how long chapters do people want? Mine are quite short, honestly.
          
          What are y'all opinions, should I raise the word count for each other (for the other fics, it would be perhaps 3K words per chapter)??

When are you going to update "tyrant in highschool"?

So....I finished rewriting the first chapter of my fic "A Tyrant in a Highschool."

Okay so, first hello to everyone. Second, apologies to the readers who waited, and others who are still waiting -- I've been pretty nonchalant regarding writing fics. Also, being busy.
          
          For now, I'm starting to focus mainly on my Fate x COTE crossover: "A Tyrant in a Highschool." On that note, I'm writing its chapters cause god, it's so low quality. I can't bear rereading it. 
          
          Well, I'll still be slow cause -- my reasons won't interest you, so I won't bore you. But either, way, this is to say: I'm not dead(don't say I am) and not stopping writing. I was still working on my skills, which hopefully paid off.
          
          (I'm also rewriting my 4th Gen WR fic because I plan to make it my masterpiece. You will nothing on my masterpiece, Kiyo.)
