Okay, to whoever decides to come and comment on my story with “I want to bring your characters to life, come discuss on Discord”: unless you can actually link to a social media with genuine works, stop wasting your time. Nobody keeps their “portfolio” on Discord if they think it’s good enough to draw in commissions.

Just a note though, while it might just be 30 something more chapters, the time it will take to get those chapters done is up for debate. I have a decent amount of free time now, but once college starts up, updates will slow down. I do,n’t want you waiting another year just to get started, so it’s probably best to get started now and then check in for updates. Also this way you won’t end up waiting indefinitely because I self-combusted or something. In any case, the choice is still yours. I won’t go around demanding you spend your time in a specific way.

@ Cringesad Well honestly you don't get to know a good fic about undertale often, now a original UT fic? That is quite special (sorry, english is not my first language)
I just finished a complete overhaul of the story and touched up some chapters on the way.. I had to take out over 22,000 words and shut down like 10 chapters to make everything in line with what I want it to be. I think most inconsistencies have been cleared out, at least I hope. Okay now for the meat of this whole thing. The big thing I took out was the child Y/n segment. As much as I liked writing those sections and fleshing out a connection between Chara and Acelyn, I slowly recognized that it didn't really help in realizing the ending that I imagined, nor did it support the ideas I’ve been setting up. At first I wanted that section to contrast the current day Y/n, but so does the flashbacks happening in the more recent chapters, so it’s incorporation feels to me at least a little redundant. Second thing, albeit much smaller than the prior. I decided to write out the inconquerable Sextet, I enjoyed giving each of them a unique voice and balancing their energies, but similiar to the other point, they didn't fit into the finale I’m working towards. Also, adding 6 more people into a story felt like a taxing endeavor, and I don't think I would have been able to do them justice with everyone else already present. That being said, thanks for reading everyone. Maybe I’ll have a new chapter out tomorrow.

I intended for Y/n not to remember his younger day escapades with Chara partly because I thought it would be a cool concept to have both of them regaining lost memories as they got to reconnect, and partly because I think it’s pretty common for people to forget what they’ve done in their pre-teen years. And don’t worry about the cut sections, I have most of them saved, and they’ll all be compiled into one big chapter with their old titles separating each part. There might be a few straggling chapters here and there that are missing because the idea of saving the chapter hadn’t occurred to me yet. The small details that those chapters affected, unfortunately, will be gone though. I probably should have saved them too before going back to rewriting those chapters, but alas, what’s done is done.
@Cringesad I can't remember much since last I read guardian angel was like a year ago. But I think I just thought/wondered if Y/N would ever remember those memories or if chara would talk about them and the segments themselves were just the most interesting and nicely written part of the story imo nothing against the other parts of course. Also I don't see much child Y/N's that actually acted like a kid so that was point to those segments. And uploading the child Y/N /deleted segments on a archived moments chapters would be great the only thing id say to that idea is to make sure not your cutting anything out of those archived chapters (dumb question but would there would be multiple archived chapters right I know it's a dumb question but you never know).
What did you like about the chapters? I can try to include any suggestions in future story developments. As for all the deleted chapters, I have them saved in a random doc somewhere, and I’ll probably post an Archived Moments chapter when this story is done and dusted so people can look through all the removed parts.
Wattpad’s ranking system just might be the most fraudulent thing of all time. I have zero confidence that it is actually based on any relevant stats since there's no reason why I should be at the top with my lack of activity.
I did not spend a whole month making a new cover for it to show up blurry on Wattpad.

Sorry for the delay, the combination of AP Exams and end of the year senior stuff didn’t leave much time for me to write lately. Hopefully I can finish this story before college starts, but that’ll require quite a lot of grinding. Thank you to those who have been reading since I began writing and those who left questions. It’s been a pleasure writting on this site, and I hope I can see this through to the very end.

Somewhere in between worlds…
A tall figure strides toward a massive screen. There was a control panel beneath it, and an array of buttons, levers, and keys filled the panel.
The massive screen commanded a sort of godly presence. The figure felt as if weight began pressing down on his shoulders as he approached. It almost seemed like the slightest misuse of the panel might set everything ajar and cause the end of the world.
The figure paused as a robotic voice spoke out.
“Welcome to the In-Between. Who might you be? I don’t usually get company in this white abyss.”
“I— I don’t know who I am.”
“That's strange. Most people do. Have you sustained any neural trauma?”
“Not that I remember… though I do feel like a piece of me is missing.”
“Hmh. I might be able to help you with that. I’m I.T.D., and all information that travels between worlds goes through me. Maybe a file in my archives can help you.”
“That… would be very helpful.”
“Great! Come closer you’ll just have to navigate all the branches, and I’ll help decompress it.”
“Okay… how do I do that?”
“Just hit the 17th button to the right of the panel. That should automatically transport you to the directory.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.”
“I apologize for the inconvenience. My creator would rather create shortcuts than do everything manually. That does result in this though, a mess of levers and buttons.”
“Okay, found it.” The figure reached out and pressed the button. It lit up and let out a little chime before the screen changed to an interface with stacks upon stacks of files.
“Okay, now I need a data sample. Please activate the 9th lever, then the 27th button, and then place your hand onto the sampling device.”
“Wait, wait, wait. The 9th lever… and the 26th button…”
“No sir, I said the 27th—”
The 26th button sank down into the control panel, chiming a different time to signify a received action.
“What!?”
“Compressing data, this action will take awhile and quite a bit of computing power, so please stand on hold. The reply system will temporarily be unavailable.”
“Hey! Wait, cancel! Cancel!”
Unsurprisingly, the machine did not reply. It only showed a spinning gear in the middle of a grey screen.
“… shit.”
Sorry for the delay… it’s college application season and I gotta get all of my stuff in. Enjoy the little snack today while I grind out the rest.
