I became a self-published author at sixteen-years-old. My novel is We are the Survivors by Vanessa Marie. The novel is about a zombie apocalypse that takes place in Las Vegas and Pahrump, Nevada. I love to write and read great, engaging stories. 
       To me, every novel should break the preconceived notions of what a novel should be. The most exciting part of writing is when my characters show me exactly who they want to be, they tell their stories to me, and the story writes itself. 
        I strive to be the type of author that inspires people to write. I believe that stories, non-fictional and fictional, can impact our lives in a very positive way. Stories motivate, inspire, and dare us to dream boldly. It only takes one book to change the course of someone's life and it is one of my dreams to write that book for my readers.
