spoiler to a upcomming (??) fanfic ‼️
“IF YOU ASKED HYUN-JAE TO DESCRIBE HER SIBLINGS, she would start by saying they are the most important people in her life. She would describe to you about how Sohee had learned to tie her shoelaces all by herself, and how the younger girl had the greatest voice; she would tell you about Tayeang, who was a really calm kid and almost never cried, and how he had a million questions to ask to anyone willing to answer them. She would tell you about how her mother used to read them fairy tales before going to bed and how every single time they went to bed now the youngers would retell them to her, just to end up knocked out before the end.
She wouldn’t tell you about how Tayeang cried for their mom every time he had to take a bath, because their mother was the only one who knew how to wash his hair without him being afraid. She wouldn’t tell you about how her sister, Sohee, would sometimes stare at the nothing for long periods, with the same dazed eyes she had when sitting by her dying mother’s side, being the only person there. She wouldn’t tell you about how there was something different with her siblings, about the nights without sleep and the weird things (monsters?) that kept appearing. She wouldn’t tell you how the two of them together were a piece of work to the barely adult woman, about the sleepless nights and the fatigue from working and running away. She wouldn’t tell you how sometimes. . . Sometimes she resented them.”
