I have made a huge mistake.
I am in drawing class, and for our first project, we are making stickers.
I decided I'd do one in dedication to Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji).
I am doing Ciel up front, Elizabeth behind him, with Undertaker and Sebastian in the very back.
Ciel and Elizabeth have very dynamic and action filled poses. Undertaker and Sebastian are facing the edge of the paper, half faced, but they're looking towards the center of the paper.
Down in the very bottom of the paper is the title in both English, and Japanese.
Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler, stylized the calligraphy used for the title.
If I mess up a single line, make a mark that does not exist, I basically ruin the whole damn thing calligraphy wise.
There is a competition for who comes up with the best art. And I am in a class with people with so much talent.
I decided to go with a setting much harder than I did last year, which earned me second place. I would've won 1st, however 1st place held a nostalgic feeling for most.
So I will understand and accept 2nd.
This year, I want 1st place. And I am doing a copious amount of work to get it.
So, mistake, or too ambitious?
