I'm a new writer, hoping to self-publish some of my original worlds/works.  To get my courage up to do so, a friend suggested I try my hand at some fanfic and send that out into the world.  She thought it would let me see how people felt about my writing style and get me some feedback.  I rely on my dialogue and descriptive character movement.  I'm not a literary fiction author, though I hope to build that skill.  I have a lot to learn.
