Hi, welcome to my page. I'm a science fiction and fantasy writer, best known for the dark fantasy, 'The Mermaid's Tale' and the alternate history epic, 'Axis of Andes.'   

I grew up working at a Drive-In Theatre, which probably explains my love for science fiction and fantasy, B-movies and cult television.  Along the way, I encountered Burroughs, Lovecraft, Doc Savage, Tarzan and the Shadow, the old pulp adventures. I'm basically a big fan of the old, seat of the pants, action adventure.

'Swordwoman in Love' a novel in 54 chapters, my current project on Wattpad, is a tribute to the old pulp adventures of Edgar Rice Burroughs, updated to a modern sensibility. It's a wild adventure of flawed characters, monsters, evil villains, romance and action set on a far future earth, where the continents are airless, the oceans have vanished, and what's left of humanity survives in the endless deserts of the former sea floors.

I'm a major Doctor Who Fan, and have written three books - "The Pirate Histories of Doctor Who" exploring fan films, stage plays, animations and audio dramas both fan and professional.  

This interest in obscure corners of Doctor Who and in alternate history and film and television production ultimately all came together to create 'The New Doctor' - inspired by a hoax, it's a 'What If' story about ambition, ideals and insanity.

Apart from that, I have over twenty books out, with titles including 'Spacerunners,'  'Giant Monsters Sing Sad Songs,' 'Drunk Slutty Elf and Zombies,' 'Bear Cavalry' and 'Dawn of Cthulhu.'  Fantasy, science fiction, novels, short stories, just strange experimental stuff, you name it.

Also, in addition to my Doctor Who Pirate Histories, I've also explored a couple of Canadian space operas - 'Lexx Unauthorized, Backstage at the Dark Zone' and 'Starlost Unauthorized, and the Quest for Canadian Identity.'
