          I hate the announcements that are like “If you ______, then lmk so I can block u” and shit like that
          Because u think ur making the world (or your board) a better place by removing all the perceived problematic ppl, for lack of a better word, but all ur doing is discouraging discussion and creating echo chambers for urself and other ppl
          And that’s why the internet is a war zone, because ppl do this
          It’s so easy to get rid of the people u don’t like; it’s literally a button click
          And while it’s nice to have people backing ur side, it soon becomes the only thing  u know and then, bc ur all addicted to having no conflict and only ppl who inflate ur ego by agreeing with everything  u say, u fight ANYONE who says otherwise. X is scorched earth because of this.
          It’s good to have opinions, absolutely. We need opinions. It’s how society goes places. But u also need differing opinions for this principle to even work.
          However, if u find a Nazi, block them. They’re too far gone to be saved. That’s what I’m chill abt.
          But like-
          “I’m pro Ukraine! If you’re not, lmk so I can block u!”
          “I’m left-wing! If you’re not, lmk so I can block u!”
          And adjacent statements are what I’m fucking tired of. 
          Block intentionally disrespectful ppl, block pedophiles, block Nazis, block ppl who want uncensored pictures of ur feet, block ppl who want to steal ur home address and personal info.
          That’s what the block button is for.
          Not because someone disagrees with u.
          If u block people on those grounds, ur as bad as the Nazi who wouldn’t leave your PMs for five minutes. Ur as bad as any fascist; any dictator, rlly.
          Because ur limiting the freedom of expression of ideas and perpetuating this insane divide that has come between all of us

          My favorite plot line has to be where you, a worker in a virtual reality, take your very first job going to an oversized AI butterstick’s residence and indulging in his kink by vacuuming him, all his belongings, and his house as well. Your next job involves talking to a city’s power grid. She’s very wise and kind and understanding, 10/10 goober. Then, you find out that you’re really a slave to AI and you have to find a way to escape (or at least put everyone else out of their misery) so you join a faction called HR, so you befriend and boost the render quality of an old and very sweet humpback whale, strip down the boss of the company that came before the one you currently work for as he yaps to you and multitasks (he’s an oversized artichoke), get thrown in jail multiple times and work for that stick of butter again and again, before you finally, finally meet the ex-girlfriend of the original creator. She gives you a lore dump and explains how her boyfriend uploaded himself to the internet after being an antisocial fuck, and how you have to stop all the others from doing that. So you go to the HQ, break the floor, fall a long time back into your little waiting room thing, and pull out the human brains from their little storage unit—killing them—but also resetting the system. If you fail, you become a slave to AI.
