Daniel Davidsohn was born in 1969 in São Paulo, Brazil. After studying hotel and tourism management and getting a master's degree in London, he went on to pursue a career working in the hotel business.
His keen interest in the creative arts led him to direct experimental short films and write several screenplays. One of these, Café, was well received and won the hollywoodscript.com contest in 2005. He writes with great passion and his books have a strong human element and often examine the distortions of reality.
His first novel, From The Nile to The Euphrates (2009), addresses the extremely delicate relationships of middle-eastern countries, while Layers of Distraction (2017), his latest novel, tries to peel back the secrets of the establishment and to show a world more close to the reality as he perceives it. A Higher Power, which is scheduled to be released in 2017, navigates the tricky dilemmas of wealth and spirituality.
