We're nearing the end of Wage. We're getting closer to see why Tina punched Dawn...and it may be different than what you think.

Sunday 26, Dawn heads into the vacant city.

Empty vehicles were parked alongside the street. Sets of chairs, tables, and umbrellas were on the sidewalks, but human life was a distant memory—if it existed at all. It felt like she was the only one in the world as if everyone fled some catastrophic event and forgot about her.

Chapters 6-10 goes live Sun 12th!

Dawn repeated her sentence, and soon, the hollering faded down the hall. She uncovered her ears and braved a peek. A shadow was standing by her cell, eyeing her—
It’s just the light on the ceiling.
Right. The light was causing spooky shadows to appear ghostly along the wall. But everything grew quiet again. She could hear the buzzing flies as she contemplated what those men were doing to their victim. Beheading him? Hanging him? Dawn, shut up. Just shut up and relax.
Nothing would happen to her. She bowed her head and whispered a prayer to seal the deal.
She sneezed twice and sniffed the mucus. “Rotten, nasty dust.”
Then came a small, shaky voice from the hallway that echoed, “Young, girl?”
Dawn froze and wondered who spoke as a brief deafening silence lingered.
“Young girl?” the stranger asked again. “Young girllll? Are you in there?”

I'm releasing another book called Wage, and the first 5 chapters will be uploaded tonight at 8pm EST! You can check out the schedule I have planned for it now.

Here's to synopsis (cue unnecessary drum roll, lol)

First came the punch. Then the dog. Then the bandages. Dawn's bad day at school isn't getting better, and she can't figure out what she did wrong to her friend Tia. Against her parents' advice, Dawn is planning revenge. But when the electricity at her house mysteriously goes out, she starts to wonder if she opened the door to something sinister.

It quickly gets worse when she is locked in jail, with only a strange woman and cloaked figures for company. It seems like everyone true is lying, and one wrong turn could result in the loss of something valuable . . . her heart.

Her only hope of escaping relies on forgiveness and the determination to wage war in a world she doesn't understand. In the world of gloom. In the world of Mindverse.
