My apologies for being so quiet over the last few months.
I've been hard at work on Salvagers (my sci-fi dystopian novel) which I've almost completed. I hope to get it finished up either late this year or early next year.
Then, I'd like to get back to Path of the Dragon.
I'm feeling really happy with how Salvagers is turning out. It's a very different story from the ones I normally tell as it's more of a family story with a much slower burn and less of a focus on action.
Although, the action sequences it does have are... some of the best I've ever written and I'm excited to have people read them. (I'm underselling this. I think they're freaking awesome. Seriously.)
I also feel like the atmosphere and world building is the strongest I've ever made.
Not so much in terms of tons of lore or info dumps but rather in the general feel of what the world is like and how that pervades everything.
I feel like you can cut the atmosphere with a knife on every page. Exactly the way I wanted it to be as I felt that was incredibly fitting for a dystopian sci-fi world.
At first, I meant to share more of the story as I wrote it, but my perfectionism really got the better of me and I've been holding off until it's in a more polished state.
I've also been working toward getting Master rank in Overwatch and have been posting about that journey on my various social media accounts. It's a ton of fun so far with an incredibly supportive community.
I hope you're all having a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to sharing more of my work with you when it's ready.
