I’m going to be completely honest with you all—the quiet response to Just You has been incredibly discouraging. As many of you know, I work full-time, and the hours I spend writing are hours I have to take away from my own rest and personal time. I’ve always tried to prioritise updates because I love these stories, but when the feedback is silent, it drains the passion and creative energy I need to keep going.
Writing doesn’t pay my bills or add to my career; the only real 'reward' for a hobbyist writer is the connection and appreciation found in your comments and votes. It is difficult to stay motivated when the hard work feels unacknowledged.
I want to reassure you that I hate the idea of abandoning my projects, so I won’t be deleting or discontinuing my stories. However, I am currently struggling to find the spark to hit 'publish.'
